What is an E Liquid Vape

So I’m assuming you’re probably here because you wanna start vaping right? Well, there are a couple things that are important to know first. I always recommend talking to a doctor before vaping if you are truly concerned about the health risks but nonetheless, it’s a lot better for you than some other things you could be smoking.

What is an E-Liquid Vape

So first I want to emphasize that there’s a difference between a vape pen and a dab pen. So what is an E-liquid Vape? An E-liquid Vape is basically an electronic cigarette, but instead of smoke coming out its vapor. This is used to replace the feeling of smoking tobacco. Most cigarette smokers have converted to this rather than continue to smoke cigarettes because its known to be much healthier for you than cigarettes.

One of the things that I like about vaping is that there almost the same as hookahs, in the sense that when you take a hit, so much smoke comes out! Smoking is an act, and it’s a really good stress reliever. That’s why some people that don’t even smoke like vaping or hookahs because sometimes just the act of blowing out smoke just feels really good. And an e-liquid vape is a perfect way for someone to relieve stress most of all because there are way fewer restrictions on these compared to cigarettes.

However, these vape pens are not to be confused with DAB pens, which are mainly used for vaping oil concentrates. With all the new different styles of pens and new attachments, it can get pretty tricky finding out which one works for you.  So I’m gonna explain all the benefits down below and on some other pages, I’ll explain some other types of vapes like dry herb vapes.

Benefits of Using a Vape

The good thing about vaping is that since there’s no smoke, you don’t have to worry about that nasty cigarette smoke lingering around you and your home. It’s much more non-smoker friendly too because most places that have no smoking signs will still allow you to vape around or inside the store.

Another good thing about using vapes over smoking cigarettes is that there is no tar, and no ash. This is due to the constant improvements in technology which is good because now you don’t have to worry about carpet stains or cigarette burns. But what this really means is that all the harmful chemicals and carcinogens have been taken out of the equation because the majority of the chemicals are found in the tar and the cigarette smoke.

Not to mention all the money that you’d be saving by switching over to e-cigs instead of cigarettes. Some people that smoke on a daily and have switched claim they have a much better style of living and have saved much more money. Some people save almost $1,500 a year!

Replaceable Parts

Now I’ll be honest and say that having to replace certain parts of an E-liquid vape can be avoided most of the time if you just invest in a decently priced one (I.E. like $50-$150). Anything out of that price range is either a huge steal or a huge risk lol. But in the case that you do get a cheaper one, here are some parts that are sold separately if they need to be replaced:

Battery- All vapes are run by the power of batteries. They produce the energy needed to heat and vaporize the concentrates or e-liquid. E-cigs will come with batteries built in them, however with the bigger vaporizers and bigger devices they can be bought separately. The larger the battery size, the longer the vape will last. It’s very easy to charge these batteries, you can just use a USB port for most of them.

Coils, Atomizers, and Wicks-  Atomizers are powered by the battery, which is where the heating of the coil and the wick takes place in the e-cigarette. They have many different types and styles of atomizers, but I think they are all really based on preference. Some of the more advanced vapes might have Atomizers that are outside of the tank separated from the coil and wick, while others are built in but the end, they are all great and essential parts of the e-cig. Without the atomizer, there would be no vapor.

A coil is made up of small pieces of metal, like nickel. It’s shaped in a spring-like form, and when the coil is heated up by the atomizer, the vapor is formed. A wick basically takes the e-liquid from the tank to the coil to be heated and vaporized. It’s also there to make sure that the coil doesn’t get overflooded. I’m sure we’ve all been there more than once so just a heads up if your coil starts to get clogged and you begin hearing gargling noise out of the pen, don’t panic! They are easily replaceable at many stores.

Cartomizers, Clearomizers, and Tanks- Clearomizers are basically a small cylinder shaped device that comes with a pyrex glass tank filled with e-liquid. This is one of the newer types of devices available on the market and one of the most popular because not only is it more modernized, but because you can actually see how much liquid you have left in the tank. Clearomizers uses a silica wick for heating the coil and vaporizing the e-liquid.

Cartomizers are somewhat similar to atomizers but they are typically better because they hold more e-liquid than an atomizer. They both do the same thing though, it’s just a way or method of the heating of the coil. Cartomizers use polyfill wrapped around a heating coil, while atomizers have a heating coil on the bottom with a metal mesh on the top of the coil.

Clearomizers, Cartomizers, and atomizers are basically just three different delivery methods for heating the coil. But for the most part, since they all do the same thing they are very similar. Clearomizers are typically more expensive because they are newer and more advanced technology wise, but they also have the longest lifespan out of the three so I would say that is probably the best choice, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Conclusion

So as I said there are many different types of e-cigs and vape pens but all you really know is what does what. Remember dry herb vapes are mainly for vaping dry herbs, dab pens are used mainly for vaping oil concentrates, and e-cigs and e-liquid vapes are mainly used for e-liquids and e-juices. The e-cigs are mainly for cigarette smokers that either wanna cut down, or quit completely. And even though the long-term effects of vapes are unknown, over 50% of cigarette smokers have switched over.

I hope this was helpful to you guys out there! Leave your comments down below and let me know what you wanna learn about next, have a nice day!

  1. I’ve been smoking for a long time and it’s time to do something else. I have a few friends that vape and they give me mixed reviews. One friend vapes and still smokes and my other friend was able to quit smoking completely and now just vapes. Thanks for a great article and explaining what liquid is.

  2. Hello dear Gabe!

Well, unfortunately, my brother is a fanatic smoker for 3 years now and I haven’t found a way to help him stop so far. Besides the fact that he is spending a lot of money on cigarettes, I’m really concerned about his health. Vaping seems like a good alternative. What is the 1st product you’d recommend him trying?

    1. Well if your trying to convince someone that’s stuck on their old ways, it’s gonna be hard to persuade him with something that isn’t very easy and simple to use. I’d recommend checking the “Roil Coil-less vape kit from smokecartel. https://www.smokecartel.com/pr… They have other options but I’d recommend buying something that isn’t too expensive for his first one.

  3. I have been battling with the whole Quit Smoking thing for about a year. It is harder than I thought it would be.
When I first came across your page I was skeptical that a vape pen could help.

However based on your recommendation i gave the E-liquid Vape a try. I just wanted to say thanks! It has helped me a ton.

While I have not stopped smoking completely I am way down thanks to the E-liquid Vape and see my self smoke free soon!

  4. These vapes have managed to keep me away from regular smokes for nearly 4 years now – they are an excellent invention for people who are struggling to kick the habit. I have heard that they are 95% safer for you than normal nicotine – is there any truth in that figure?

    1. Hey Chris!

You have no idea how happy it makes me to see someone say they’ve been trying to quit smoking cigarettes, or that they’ve already stopped smoking because that’ll make a significant change in your health. And to answer your question, yes they are about 90-95% healthier for you because you don’t have all the tar and chemicals that come from the smoke and the ash.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have anymore questions!

  5. Wonderful site. I really like the descriptions and details that you offer. Everything is relevant and your site is clean.
I am currently a smoker and have heard a lot about vaping, but never took the time to look into it. Your site does its’ job so well, I am really considering transitioning from cigarettes to vaping!
    Thank you!
    Kristen

  6. Gabe,

This is very interesting information on E-liquid vape pens. As a lifelong smoker I have tried many times to quit but without success.

After reading your article I’m definitely considering investing in a decent vape pen. I think this could finally be the alternative that helps me quit smoking for good.

  7. I have always liked cigars since you don’t have to inhale and stayed away from cigarettes due to this. Do you have to inhale the vapor or could you use it just like a cigar? I have wanted to try vaping since I am interested in the flavors but would prefer not to have to inhale.

  8. I have just started looking around due to the fact I am wanting to reduce the amount of cigarette smoking I do. But I haven’t found anything yet that sounds like it could do enough.

I was looking for something to use with CBD oil, and to replace the smoking. Do you know of anything that would work best to do both?

From what you said in this article I probably would need something besides an e-liquid vape right?

  9. I am not a smoker and have not been all of my life, I know that many smokers thrive on the nicotine and they needed daily doses of that. What part of a liquid vape replaces the nicotine intake in order to achieve the same satisfaction as a cigarette? I further agree with you that as there is no smoke, this looks a lot more sociable than to have to inhale the cigarette smoke. I just hope that any adverse health effects are minimal or non-existent.

  10. Hi Gabriel,

I have gone through your entire web-page and I must say that you have a great site! The content you use to educate readers on e-cigs and e-liquid vapes is highly informative. I personally was not aware of this but now recommend your website to some of friends who smoke and want to get rid of it. Now, coming towards question section, So I have two questions for you lol:
    1) How much time it would usually take to shift smoking habit to e-smoking habit?
    2) What are those things which will give a smoker same felling of smoking say for example, Nicotine. As we all know, Nicotine is a harmful element and how this get replaced with vapors cigarette.

    Best Regards,
    Priya

  11. One of my brothers is a smoker and I am really concerned about his health. I’ve tried to convince him to quit by suggesting to replace it with some candies or chewing gum but it didn’t work. With e-cigarettes, I hope my brother will be able to quit smoking, stay away from nicotine and save some money.

By the way, I heard there are different flavors but I’m not sure!

    1. Hi Alice!

I know exactly what your going through, it’s like you can only hope for the best because at the end of the day a person is gonna make their own decisions no matter how good the advice is. But I will say this, if he quits smoking cigarettes he’ll be fairly surprised in how much better he feels after each day, plus it tastes so much better!

  12. Well I never!
As an ex smoker (and very proud of giving it up) I was a bit rabid in trying to talk smokers out of smoking. So for me this is a welcome option for those who struggle to kick a habit that could ultimately kill them.
Great post and seriously that annual saving should be enough reason to make the switch immediately.
I am going to show this to a very dear friend who is struggling.
    Many thanks

    1. Hi Lawrence!

I definitely know first hand what it’s like to have a friend you care deeply for, but have to watch them slowly go backwards in life through poor decisions. While smoking isn’t healthy regardless, this is definitely a healthier choice. And some people after successfully switching over, decide to just quit altogether due to the potential savings. Wish the best for your friend! Come back if you have any questions!

  13. I learned a lot about the different types of e-liquid vapes based on your article Gabriel. Love coming back to your site to see new updates and great things you been adding to make your site to really stand out from the rest. I appreciate you doing this man, and I hope you see good success at of your website :).

  14. Hey Gabriel2338, nice post. Thanks for taking the time to make that post, it is good that there is an alternative to smoking cigs.
My grandfather died from emphysema so this is something that I know would’ve helped him.
Sometimes I get so stressed out on my job that I practically look for a cigarette but it is good to know that if I ever did need one, I know where to turn to and not the actual cigarette.
E-liquid vape is by far the safest way to keep smoking and not have to incur any consequences which is a huge plus.
    Do you vape, or smoke?

  15. As a long-time smoker I really enjoy my American Spirits, the black pack which the tobacco is soaked in whiskey. I guess my concern is that they aren’t too bad for me because they are all-natural, but I can tell my lung function isn’t the greatest.

I hadn’t really considered vaping, but your article definitely has me thinking about it now. Do the e-liquids come in different flavors? And are they chemical or made out of all-natural ingredients? It seems a little confusing to choose the right vape for me.

    Thank you

  16. Ah a subject that is increasingly growing in my community. You can’t walk down the street without see at least 4 people blowing out steam. No complaints really I can breathe when they walk by.

Could you breakdown the cost of the replacement parts? Trying to find a great liquid vape with minimal cost with limited income.

  17. One thing I like about vape is the smoke exhale out is cool. It does not smell bad and detter other people like tobacco cigarettes. I have used mango flavour , it smells like mango perfume when exhale out. Sadly it is still considered as smoking and not advisable to vape in non smoking areas.

    1. Hey Kit!

I think that’s my favorite thing about the vapes too is that the smell isn’t that bad. I’m definitely one of those people that runs far away from cigarette smoke if I can help it lol.

  18. I’m actually not a smoker but wanted to thank you for this post.  Traditional cigarettes have always been offensive to me but vapes have not and some even smell great.

I used to, and I guess still do, prohibit traditional smoking in my vehicles and home but have no such rule for vaping.  I always wondered how vaping actually worked and you’ve explained it nicely.  There are so many makes, models and designs I can’t imagine how someone makes the decision as to which one to get.  I guess ease of use, capacity (both fluid as well as battery and maybe even appearance factor in.

Are there particular brands or models that have a great reputation or a terrible one?  I ask because I was actually on the walk of fame in Hollywood and heard what I thought was a gunshot but it turned out that a pen had exploded in a nearby vape shop and was just curious how common or rare such incidents actually occur.

I swear a friend of mine uses a apple pie flavored liquid and it gives me a sweets craving every time I’m around it.

    Thanks again

  19. It’s great that vaping is non-smoker friendly without the cigarette smell and also tar and ash. Oh and the carcinogens and nasty chemicals have been taken out too!! You have really opened my eyes to the benefits of vaping over traditional cigarettes. However, as you say “even though the long-term effects of vapes are unknown, over 50% of cigarette smokers have switched over.” I might hold off until this is more known. What about runners, do you know if it affects people lungs and cardiovascular health? Thank you so much for this article!

  20. It is really funny how much has technology improved but this is good thing. I dont smoke but I have friends who does and sometimes it is impossible to sustain. Other then that I think that it can help a lot of people to save their life because cigarettes are very bad for our body. I will buy one as a birthday gift.

  21. Hi! I love this site!  It’s very legible, very well researched.  I’m personally not a smoker or someone who vapes. I think that this article will definitely be helpful to many people.  It’s got plenty of information that is good for those considering vaping as opposed to smoking.

But I have friends that smoke and friends that love vaping. I’m glad to have this information out there to know the differences between the two.

Thanks so much for your information!

  22. I’ve heard so much about vaping, it’s kind of like the new trend. I don’t smoke nor have I used a hookah but it’s something that seems tempting. I know people who like hookah but don’t know anyone personally who vapes. I didn’t even know that there were different types of vaping, you definitely went into detail.

    1. Hey Victor!

You’re right man vaping did kinda blow up fast and now it’s everywhere! It is almost exactly like hookah because they both let out so much smoke!

  23. Cool article! Yes I do vape but I do not use nicotine products just pure CBD. All these vapes are great products although my favorite ones are the cartridge ones. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this. I will make sure to bookmark your site to come back later.

    1. Hey Andrea!

Glad to hear you liked some of the vapes, I agree though CBD oils are definitely a better alternative to it all if you ask me. Come back to see more!

  24. I am still a smoker but now having read your article I am reading to take on the challenge presented me and I want to stop smoking cigarettes. It is costing me health wise and financially and it’s so bad for me but the addiction is incredible so I just keep smoking.

Will this help me with the withdrawals?

I look forward to knowing this as I Move into my non- smoking life 🙂

  25. Thank you for sharing with us such interesting information about vapes. I was amazed by The e-cigs which are mainly for cigarette smokers that either wanna cut down, or quit completely. You can ask me the reason. I am not cigaret smoker but i have a brother who is addicted by cigaret. When i ask him to stop smoking as it can harm his life and that of his family , he tells me that he tried but he failed. Whit this E-LIQUID VAPE, he will be able to quit smoking.

    Thank you

  26. You must’ve read my mind because just yesterday I was asking myself the question you answered – What is an E Liquid Vape?  I really had no idea it was this complicated or that there were different methods for using dry herb versus e-liquid. Sorry, but I have to ask the question – do people who are trying to stop smoking ever get to the point that they have no reason for quitting? Thanks for answering – I really would like to know.

    All the best!

    1. Hey Sharon!

I felt the same way you did trust me! Lol E-liquid vapes are definitely complex, but function and simple when you really think about it. They are much healthier for you overall then cigarettes, and ultimately are less addicting than cigarettes in my opinion. So once you wing yourself off cigarettes, anythings possible from there and that’s what also motivates people to quit smoking.

The main reasons people quit smoking is money, health concerns., and time consumption. If those issues don’t apply to you, most people continue smoking.

      Hope this helps!

  27. Nice article! Vaping is much more better in my opinion than smoking cigarettes. It’s just vapor so i don’t get the big deal. I still smoke every once in a while but I’ve reduced it dramatically or you could say I’ve practically stopped thanks to Vaping.

This is an amazing post thank you for sharing!!

  28. Yeah. I think I would relate this to colleagues who smoke cigarettes. I don’t smoke but I have a lot of people who would really benefit from this article. Since some are already addicted to smoking cigarette, this would help reduce the damage done to their body. I believe that tbis E liquid vape is good.

  29. Thank you so much for doing such an extensive review about vaping and all the equipment breakdown. I was a heavy smoker but I have been in the process of quitting and smoking for years. When the first e-cigarette launched I was so happy with it. I just hate the cigarette smell on me when I meet my clients. The best part about it was, I didn’t have to go out of the house in winter to smoke lol! Also no more hunting for my lighter! That lighter is a holy grail when you smoke people steal them from you lol trust me.

You are right though, smoking is my way of stress relief. I am also smoking some CBD oil as well to ease with my back pain and cramps. I am telling you those CBD vape oils works.

I enjoy vaping and have nothing negative to say about it.

  30. Thank you for explaining the difference between vapes/pens and in general I enjoyed this article and agree to some extent that if done right the e-cig can help smokers quit. BUT honestly the ideal scenario is not to replace one addiction with the other. Fast forward 2 years from the publication of this article, more public places are banning vaping and studies have emerged showing the health hazards of vaping. There is even a condition specific to it called popcorn lung. Have you heard of it? It’s mostly linked to the flavored liquids. In any regard – as a previous smoker of 10 years – I used vaping initially to help with the quitting process, so I can attest it can be a useful tool to help quit for most. But nothing but oxygen belongs in your lungs. Lol

    1. Hey Sherry!

Yes you are absolutely right you don’t want to replace one addiction with another as this seems to be a bad habit that most people struggle with. And no I have not heard of the “popcorn lung” condition but I will definitely do some research on it! Do you know if the effects of vapes are worse than the effects of cigarettes?

  31. Hi dear,
thanks for this article I find it very helpful indeed. For a while now I been trying to persuade my girlfriend to quit smoking cigarettes, she wanted to try vaping but we thought it was no different from cigarettes, I am more enlightened now, we will probably give it a shot and see how it goes!
